Privacy Policy

Aixcel is a spreadsheet app for Mac. It is built to respect your privacy. We (A Brand New Company) do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information about you. Aixcel has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no user accounts. There is nothing to sign in to.

Your files stay on your device

Every spreadsheet you create or open stays on your own Mac. Your data is never uploaded to us. Aixcel works fully offline for all of its core features: formulas, charts, pivot tables, conditional formatting, filtering, and reading or writing .xlsx, .csv, and .aix files.

The optional AI assistant

Aixcel includes an optional AI assistant. It works out of the box in an offline Demo mode that runs entirely on your device and sends nothing anywhere.

If you choose to enable live AI, you provide your own API key from the AI provider you select. In that case, and only on requests you personally trigger, Aixcel sends the relevant cell values and formulas from your current selection over an encrypted HTTPS connection directly to that provider so it can answer. This request goes to the provider you chose, using your own key. It never passes through our servers, and we never see it. Your API key is stored only on your device and is used only to talk to that provider.

When you use a third-party AI provider, that provider's own privacy policy and terms govern how they handle the request. You can review or remove your key at any time in the assistant settings, and you can use Aixcel without ever enabling live AI.

Data we collect

None. Aixcel contains no analytics or telemetry SDKs and makes no network requests other than the optional, user-triggered AI request described above.

Children

Aixcel does not target children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
